Job Summary
The Head of Property Management position involves leading the dedicated department within the Saalfeld/Saale municipal administration. This role is central to managing the city’s real estate portfolio, encompassing the full lifecycle of developed and undeveloped property, including acquisition, disposal, and the management of hereditary building rights. Day-to-day responsibilities include negotiating complex contracts, representing the city in notarized transactions, preparing conceptual tenders for land sales, and ensuring compliance with existing agreements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for property asset management and developing strategic proposals for municipal real estate policy. Key qualifications include a university degree (Bachelor's) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or Law, or an equivalent administrative certification. Extensive knowledge of real estate, construction, and administrative law, coupled with leadership potential and strong negotiation skills, are essential for success in this demanding public sector role.
