Job Summary

This role seeks a Quantum Magnetometer Development Engineer to transition cutting-edge research on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamonds into marketable, miniaturized sensor systems. The successful candidate will be integral to the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept design and component development to successful implementation and commissioning of complex sensor systems. Daily tasks include designing and testing optoelectronics and micro-assembly components, as well as utilizing programming languages, specifically Python, for sophisticated measurement data analysis and signal processing optimization. Key qualifications include a university degree in Physics or Engineering and specific experience in NV-based quantum physics implementation in sensor systems. You must possess broad know-how of miniaturized sensor system components. This position offers the chance to shape the future of sensing technology within the dynamic, interdisciplinary, and start-up-like environment of Bosch Quantum Sensing.
