Job Summary

The Hessian State Office of Criminal Investigation (HLKA) is seeking an IT Specialist in Application Development to join their Data Competence Center in Wiesbaden. This role involves working with large datasets from investigative procedures to enable data-driven insights for investigators. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining innovative analysis software and support tools, automating workflows, and managing databases. Key responsibilities include ensuring data security and privacy, providing user support and training, and developing interfaces to other applications. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's/Diploma degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Engineering (MINT), or a comparable field.

Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience handling large data volumes from diverse sources.
  • Experience with programming and software development (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, databases, Agile methodologies).
  • Experience developing and implementing processes for data acquisition, preparation, analysis, and visualization.
