Job Summary

This role as an Electronics Development Engineer is based at Menlo Systems GmbH, a global leader in high-precision optical measurement utilizing Nobel Prize-winning frequency comb technology. The successful candidate will be crucial in defining, conceptualizing, and testing analog and mixed-signal electronics for complex laser systems used globally in cutting-edge applications like quantum computing, metrology, and 3D printing. Daily tasks include designing and verifying PCB layouts, integrating electronics into laser systems, and ensuring a smooth transition of development results into production, all while meticulously documenting the process. The position requires a completed degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical qualification, initial professional experience in developing electronic systems from schematic to pilot production, and the ability to coordinate external hardware and firmware service providers. Experience

  • Professional experience in electronics engineering or as a technician with comparable qualification
  • Initial professional experience in developing analog and mixed-signal electronics and electronic systems (from schematic to pilot production)
  • Experience coordinating development service providers for hardware and firmware
  • Experience in the radio frequency range (MHz-GHz) and with EMC tests (Advantageous)
