Job Summary

This role involves protecting businesses from cyberattacks by working within a dynamic virtual team at the Bechtle Cyber Defense Center, a BSI-qualified APT Response service provider. The specialist will be responsible for continuous monitoring of network and system security events, responding to incidents, analyzing attacks, and implementing immediate countermeasures. Key activities include conducting detailed forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations for risk mitigation. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills to effectively report on security incidents and collaborate with internal and external teams, ensuring high customer satisfaction and contributing to the center's ongoing success in managing cyber crises.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Forensics, or a related field. Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CISA are advantageous.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity
  • Experience in Security Operation Center (SOC)
  • Experience in Incident Response
