Job Summary
This role involves serving as the IT Security Officer for the Berlin House of Representatives administration, focusing on the strategic planning and implementation of information security measures. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring security concepts, guidelines, and procedures in compliance with data protection regulations (DSGVO, BDSG) and BSI IT-Grundschutz standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating internal information security processes, conducting risk analyses and audits, and ensuring staff awareness through training. A key component of the job is participating in the introduction and continuous development of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on BSI standards. This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field like Informatics or Information Management, coupled with extensive professional experience in IT security or IT management, preferably within the public sector, and a profound understanding of parliamentary administrative structures.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree, Magister, or University Diploma in Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Information Management, Administrative Sciences, or a comparable scientific field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in information security or IT management
- Experience in the conception, implementation, and documentation of security measures
- Professional experience preferred in the public service sector
- Experience with administrative structures and decision-making processes in a parliamentary organization
