Job Summary
This role is for a Specialist Administrator focusing on the aDIS/BMS integrated library system within the VÖBB Service Center, which supports nearly 80 library locations in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and ongoing development of the aDIS/BMS software, including testing and troubleshooting. A key part of the role involves providing second-level support for users and acting as an instructor for internal staff training on the system. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of public libraries in Berlin, working within a large, interconnected library network and helping to enhance innovative services and digital offerings for the community.
Required Skills
Education
Completed relevant IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist) with several years of professional experience, or a completed IT degree in Computer Science, Library Informatics, or comparable fields.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT administration or similar roles, preferably in the library sector
- Experience with aDIS/BMS or comparable management systems
- Experience in preparing and conducting training sessions
