Job Summary

The Head of Electrical Engineering will assume technical and disciplinary leadership for the electrical design department within a company specializing in special machinery construction for the plastics processing industry. This critical role involves shaping the electrotechnical design and development of complex machinery and plants. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the electrical construction team, managing projects in electrical and automation technology from conception through to series readiness, and maintaining/developing wiring diagrams using EPLAN P8. The successful candidate will drive process optimization through automation and digitalization, monitor new trends in electrical engineering, and collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and sales teams to deliver holistic, future-proof solutions. Required qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, extensive professional and leadership experience in mechanical and plant engineering, and strong proficiency in EPLAN P8 and TIA Portal.
