The Materials Laboratory Technician will independently conduct a wide range of material testing, including hardness testing (Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell), metallographic examinations, and spectral analysis, ensuring components meet technical drawings and specifications. Key responsibilities involve creating and validating measuring and testing programs, performing series-accompanying material controls in the hardening shop, and supporting failure analysis on returned parts. The position requires a background in material testing, metallography, or a related technical field, proficiency with QM standards (like IATF 16949), and experience in creating test plans and interpreting technical drawings.
