Job Summary
The State Investigation Office for Chemistry, Hygiene, and Veterinary Medicine (LUA) in Bremen is seeking a Certified Food Chemist to serve as an examination lead within the Food Chemistry department. This crucial, full-time, and permanent role focuses primarily on plant-based foods, including coffee, tea, cocoa, and chocolate. Day-to-day responsibilities involve evaluating analytical results, generating expert opinions and reports, planning and coordinating investigation programs, and developing and validating new testing procedures. The successful candidate must possess a completed university degree in Food Chemistry and the official professional qualification as a Certified Food Chemist. Key requirements include strong knowledge of commodity science and food law, expertise in modern instrumental analysis (such as HPLC), and the ability to professionally guide laboratory staff. - Fundamental knowledge in Quality Management according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (Ideal)
