Job Summary

This specialized role involves actively contributing to the operation and continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), primarily based on ISO/IEC 27001 standards. The officer is responsible for ensuring that documentation for new projects and applications within the Federal Office of Public Health complies with federal security procedures, assessing security measures, and guaranteeing their effective implementation. A core function is establishing robust strategies and directives to enhance information security and overall cybersecurity for the organization. Furthermore, the specialist will advise management and specialized departments on critical security matters, while actively training and sensitizing personnel regarding technical and organizational security measures. This position is ideal for a highly committed security professional with deep expertise in modern security frameworks, seeking to contribute directly to the success and well-being of Switzerland's public health system.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science, complemented by further training or certification in information security (e.g., CAS/MAS in IT Security, CISM, CISSP, CCSO, or equivalent).

Experience

  • At least five years of professional experience in information security and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in operating an Information Security Management System (ISMS) is highly desirable.
  • Professional experience ensuring project and application compliance with security procedures.

Additional

  • Requires active knowledge of two official languages of Switzerland and, if possible, passive knowledge of the third. The role offers a workload of 80-90% and is based in Liebefeld with options for working from home.
