Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position is open for a dedicated Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join the Pharmaceutical Operations team of an established, international pharmaceutical company. The core responsibilities involve executing microbiological purity tests on non-sterile products, strictly adhering to pharmacopoeias (USP, EP) and internal GMP guidelines. Key daily tasks include qualifying solid and liquid culture media, performing microbiological assays, checking purified water quality weekly, and conducting operational hygiene assessments. The technician will also be responsible for GMP-compliant documentation, managing laboratory organization, ordering consumables, and assisting in the qualification of analytical equipment, including SOP creation. The ideal candidate must possess vocational training (such as BTA, PTA, or Biologielaborant) or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant natural science discipline. A meticulous, quality-focused approach to laboratory work and prior experience in pharmaceutical quality control are highly valued. Education

Completed vocational training (Biological Technical Assistant, Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant, Medical Technical Assistant, or Biological Laboratory Technician) or Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Technology, or Biochemistry).

Experience

  • Professional experience in performing microbiological purity tests on non-sterile products.
  • Knowledge of microbiological quality testing of pharmaceuticals according to relevant regulations (Pharmacopoeias, USP, EP).
