Job Summary

This critical role as an Electronics Technician for IT-Supported Systems is based at the Krümmel site in Geesthacht, supporting Germany's federal center of competence for handling radioactive waste. The primary mission is ensuring the highest safety standards are met until final disposal. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the continuous inspection, maintenance, installation, and setup of IT-supported operational systems, including networked and non-networked facilities like crane and PLC controls. The technician will actively contribute to IT security implementation, manage access control, and meticulously maintain asset and inventory documentation. Candidates must possess a completed vocational qualification as an Industrial Electrician or Automation Technician, coupled with substantial professional experience in handling programmable logic controllers (PLCs), such as Siemens Simatic S7, and general operational IT applications. Knowledge of operating systems and networking infrastructure is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
