Job Summary
This leadership role involves heading Division G.5 at the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) in Bonn, focusing on national crisis management and resilience. The Head of Division is responsible for disciplinary and professional leadership, ensuring goal-oriented work, resource efficiency, and strategic development of the division. Key tasks include expert consultation for internal leadership regarding cooperation between the federal government, states, municipalities, and aid organizations in civil protection. The role requires establishing and managing cooperation formats and committees to ensure efficient networking, maintaining a 'One-Voice-Policy' for strategic external communication, and supporting the Joint Competence Center for Civil Protection (GeKoB). This position is ideal for an experienced leader with a background in public administration and stakeholder management, who is committed to promoting effective inter-agency cooperation in critical national security contexts.
Required Skills
Education
Master's or University Diploma (with a grade of 'good' or better) in Political Science, Administrative Science, or related field; OR qualification for judicial office (with minimum 13 points combined from both state exams); OR eligibility for the higher non-technical civil service.
Experience
- Comprehensive leadership competence (to be proven in the selection process)
