Job Summary
This leadership role involves the technical and disciplinary management of the IT team within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment specializing in sterile liquid pharmaceuticals. The Head of IT is responsible for the strategic development, operation, and maintenance of the entire IT landscape, including server, network, security, and client infrastructures, utilizing tools like Windows Server, Veeam Backup & Replication, and Sophos XGS. A key focus is on enhancing the IT security concept, managing an implemented AI solution, and ensuring IT continuity. The role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in IT management for production machinery, and experience with GAMP/Part 11 compliant validation of GMP-critical IT systems. The ideal candidate will coordinate IT projects, manage budgets, and provide 2nd and 3rd level end-user support, thriving in a regulated pharmaceutical setting.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent training with several years of professional experience
Experience
- Several years in a leading IT position
- Professional experience in IT systems and infrastructure
- Professional experience in IT management of production machines and system integration
- Experience in creating and implementing IT policies and systems
- Experience in project management and budget control
- Experience in the regulated pharmaceutical environment (advantageous)
