Job Summary
This role involves operating and monitoring drying and incineration plants for radioactive waste in a demanding 3-shift system. The Electrical Specialist will be responsible for the precise and safe transport, connection, and drying of radioactive waste containers, ensuring all processes are meticulously documented. Key tasks also include taking samples for laboratory analysis, controlling shutdown criteria, conducting return and handover of containers after radiation protection checks, and maintaining comprehensive process data in the KADABRA system. Regular maintenance, decontamination, and repairs on the plants are also part of the daily routine. This position requires close collaboration with TÜV experts and internal departments to ensure the safe and smooth operation of facilities, adhering to all legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background as an Electrical Specialist, experience with radioactive materials, and a strong commitment to safety and precision in a critical environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as an Electrical Specialist or comparable qualification in the electrical engineering field
Experience
- Professional experience in handling radioactive materials, ideally in an industrial or nuclear technology environment
- Experience with documentation systems like KADABRA
