Job Summary

This role is a fixed-term, 14-month research position (80% time commitment) within the DFG research project "Pervasive Touch," explicitly designed for scientific work at the PhD level. The successful candidate will conduct independent research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on developing user-friendly, touch-based interfaces for interaction with everyday objects. Day-to-day tasks involve systematic literature reviews, interface design and implementation, running and analyzing quantitative user studies, and publishing scientific articles based on findings. Key requirements include a completed Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong programming skills, and practical experience with quantitative empirical methods and Physical Computing.
