Job Summary
This role seeks a dedicated Public Transport Finance Specialist to join the Transport Department in Bremen, focusing on strengthening rail transport (SPNV) as a key element of the broader transport transition strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for critical financial management tasks, including maintaining financial plans and forecasts, administering regional funding allocations, processing and auditing grant applications, and issuing subsidy notices. Day-to-day activities involve creating detailed statistics and reports concerning public transport financing and handling essential administrative duties related to the public transport authority's mandate. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences in Transport Economics or Business Administration, coupled with specialized knowledge in controlling, accounting, tariffs, or sales. Professional experience in the public transport sector (ÖPNV/SPNV) and strong initiative, resilience, and communication skills are mandatory for effective coordination with transport companies and neighboring authorities. This is an unlimited public sector position offering stability and flexible work arrangements.

Completed university of applied sciences degree (FH Diploma or Bachelor) in Transport Economics, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
