Job Summary

This role seeks an NDT Radiography Technician to join a leading client in the defense industry (Rheinmetall) on a permanent contract basis in Unterlüß. The core responsibilities involve coordinating, executing, and evaluating X-ray examinations (radiography testing) of materials, including the safe handling of explosive or hazardous components. Day-to-day tasks include planning and setting up complex test configurations, managing the organizational schedule for testing procedures, analyzing resulting data and images, and creating official radiography test reports. A key component of the role is ensuring system availability by performing preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on X-ray equipment. Candidates must possess specific professional qualifications, including RT-F and RT-D Level 2 certification according to EN ISO 9712, coupled with a completed vocational background, such as an Energy Electronics Technician. Required competencies include expertise in operating X-ray control software, digital image processing programs, and comprehensive knowledge of NDT standards and radiation protection protocols.
