Job Summary
This role seeks an ambitious Database Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize critical database environments for leading IT solution providers. Day-to-day responsibilities include the administration of various database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, focusing heavily on ensuring high performance, availability, and robust security. The administrator will be responsible for implementing security measures, executing backup and recovery strategies, analyzing and optimizing database queries, and planning migrations. To succeed, candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, coupled with several years of professional experience in database administration. Fundamental knowledge of SQL and database design is essential, alongside excellent written and spoken German skills (C1 level). The position offers a permanent contract and significant flexibility through mobile working options, along with access to internal training opportunities via the FERCHAU Academy.
