Job Summary

This role involves taking responsibility for the secure and efficient generation of electricity and heat within Erfurt's power plant, focusing specifically on the Gas and Steam Turbine Plant. The Shift Leader will handle the operational management of electricity and heat generation facilities, including deployment planning, creating schedules for electricity and heat output, and coordinating with energy trading and grid operators. A key part of the job is optimizing power plant deployment planning and managing heat distribution systems within the district heating network. Candidates must have a completed technical vocational training in supply, energy, or mechanical engineering, or a commercial background with energy industry knowledge. The position requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and a willingness to work in a predictable shift system (early, late, and night shifts), planned one year in advance.
