Job Summary

This Scientific Research Associate role focuses on developing and implementing automated assembly and joining solutions crucial for aerospace components. Key responsibilities include the scientific advancement and practical application of resistance and ultrasonic welding techniques, analyzing complex processes, and developing automated procedures for component assembly. The associate will commission experimental setups, conduct trials, and actively expand the scientific network, including acquiring external funding and conducting technology studies in fiber-reinforced and hybrid lightweight structures. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree (Master's level or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Lightweight Construction or Composite Materials, coupled with knowledge of manufacturing processes for hybrid components and proficiency in CATIA V5. Programming skills (preferably Python or Matlab) are highly desirable. This position offers the unique opportunity to pursue a PhD while working on cutting-edge automation technology within a leading research institution.
