Job Summary

The Supplier Development Engineer plays a critical role in managing and enhancing the international supply chain. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, qualifying, and evaluating international suppliers, negotiating critical quality assurance agreements with specific ppm targets, and ensuring compliance through rigorous process and product audits. You will be responsible for identifying quality deviations, driving corrective and preventive actions, and implementing strategic supplier development programs aimed at process optimization and cost reduction. Furthermore, you will conduct risk and capacity analyses and manage action plans to ensure purchasing compliance with the management system. Key requirements for this demanding role include a successful university degree and profound knowledge of automotive standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. Candidates must possess relevant experience with quality management methodologies, be qualified to conduct external IATF 16949 audits, and demonstrate fluent English proficiency.
