Job Summary

This role is for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Protection Systems, based in Grafenrheinfeld, focusing on the full lifecycle of secondary technology in low, medium, and high-voltage power systems. Day-to-day tasks include commissioning equipment, developing complex protection and control concepts, driving hardware design from initial concepts through manufacturing and customer acceptance, and parameterizing/testing control and protection devices, often utilizing OMICRON CMC equipment. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Energy Technology (or an equivalent technician qualification), profound knowledge of MS/NS protection standards, and hands-on experience with major protection relays like Siemens SIPROTEC, ABB, and Schneider Electric. Expertise in communication protocols, particularly IEC 61850, is essential.
