Job Summary
This role seeks a Development Engineer specializing in Simulation and Control Technology within the energy sector, focusing on High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission systems. The core responsibilities involve developing and validating complex HVDC models and their control mechanisms using specialized simulation tools. Day-to-day tasks include modeling HVDC systems and their control in MATLAB/Simulink, integrating and implementing advanced voltage-forming control concepts (such as Grid-Forming), and creating/validating models in PSCAD/EMTDC. Candidates must possess a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, coupled with demonstrable experience in converter modeling and control, and strong knowledge of power electronics. Success in this position requires excellent intercultural competence and teamwork, supported by fluent proficiency in both German and English.
