Job Summary

This role seeks a Development Engineer specializing in Real-Time Simulation within the power engineering sector in Erlangen. The engineer will be responsible for the planning, setup, commissioning, and documentation of real-time simulators, specifically for High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission and FACTS applications. Key daily tasks include project-specific configuration and operation of these simulators, conducting factory tests, and generating necessary documentation. The position also involves collaborating with the test team to develop new plant systems, managing technical delivery and on-site commissioning for customers, and supporting proposal creation and client clarifications. Candidates must hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally focused on Power Engineering, and possess initial professional experience in areas like power converter technology, high-voltage technology, or digital simulation.
