Job Summary

This role, based in Penzberg at Roche Diagnostics, is centered on driving scientific and technological advancements within chemical processes. The Process Development Chemist will be responsible for taking new procedures from Research & Development and establishing them within production, focusing heavily on process optimization, new process development, and technology implementation. Daily tasks include conducting complex multi-step syntheses, performing and evaluating analytical tests, and meticulously documenting procedures. Key qualifications include a mandatory Master's degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic Chemistry. Practical experience in oligonucleotide chemistry, purification technologies, and analytical methods is highly beneficial. Success requires strong team orientation, resilience, and excellent communication skills in both German (C1) and English (B2) for coordinating international projects. This position offers a pathway into a leading pharmaceutical company via a temporary contract.
