Job Summary

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Synthetic Chemistry to join Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Penzberg, initially through temporary employment with a clear focus on eventual permanent takeover. The core function involves overseeing experiments and production batches, primarily focusing on the synthesis of organic chemical substances at the production or technical scale. Key responsibilities include optimizing reaction parameters, testing process stability, and meticulously documenting and interpreting trial results. The researcher will also be crucial in evaluating production deviations, coordinating troubleshooting efforts to minimize issues, and ensuring regulatory compliance by contributing to safety and quality documentation and risk analyses. Candidates should ideally hold a PhD in Chemistry, preferably Organic Synthetic Chemistry (Master's graduates are also considered), possess practical experience in synthetic chemistry, and demonstrate a proactive work ethic. Fluent German is mandatory for effective communication with production staff, complemented by good English skills for documentation and meetings.
