Job Summary

This role involves specialized laboratory analysis within the environmental sector for a leading European analytics group. The primary responsibility is the analysis of material, dust, and air samples for asbestos and artificial mineral fibers using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM-EDX). Day-to-day tasks include meticulous sample preparation, conducting microscopy, ensuring timely sample processing, and comprehensive documentation of results. A critical component of the job is maintaining quality assurance standards strictly according to DIN EN ISO 17025, and contributing to the creation of detailed work instructions. Candidates must possess a degree in Geo- or Material Sciences (B.Sc.) or a relevant vocational qualification (e.g., Chemical Laboratory Assistant). Ideal applicants will bring practical experience operating and maintaining SEMs, along with foundational mineralogical knowledge.
