Job Summary
This newly created role as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer involves driving the industrialization of cutting-edge metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies for mission-critical turbocharger components within Accelleron, a global technology leader focused on sustainability in marine and energy sectors. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Technology & Investments in Baden, Switzerland, you will manage the entire AM value chain, from evaluating part requests and design using CAD/CAM/ERP tools to executing build preparation, post-processing, and rigorous quality control. You will leverage your hands-on expertise in Laser Powder Bed Fusion to analyze in-situ and post-print data, driving continuous improvement and process optimization. This position offers the chance to act as a crucial cross-functional bridge between R&D, engineering, and business teams, translating technical insights into scalable manufacturing outcomes in a dynamic, corporate start-up environment focused on shaping the future of manufacturing.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering with a focus on metal manufacturing technologies, or equivalent)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional or academic experience in the field of design, process development, and/or operation in the metal AM industry
- Hands-on expertise in Laser Powder Bed Fusion is a must
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Project management skills are a plus
