Job Summary
This Mechanical Engineering role in Berlin focuses on the design, routing, and selection of low voltage wire harnesses and associated mechanical components, including clips and mounting systems for electric vehicles. The engineer will be responsible for resolving complex electrical and physical integration issues, collaborating globally with internal teams (Infotainment, Chassis, Manufacturing) and external suppliers. Key activities include making critical design decisions, ensuring design-for-manufacturability, supporting pre-production builds (RC), and driving solutions for design and reliability concerns (e.g., high insertion force, sealing issues). A successful candidate possesses strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, hands-on project experience (e.g., building robots, working on cars), and proficiency in 3D modeling and project tracking tools, coupled with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

- Hands-on experience in Mentor Graphics Capital Harness 2D engineering drawing creation
- Experience with rapid prototyping
- Professional experience in project task coordination and tracking using JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Hands-on engineering project experience (e.g., built robots, worked on cars, 3D printed machines)
