Job Summary

This crucial role involves managing and executing public infrastructure projects, focusing specifically on the city's road and sewer systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of deep civil engineering measures, including planning, tendering, construction supervision, and budget management, often coordinating efforts with external engineering offices. A key aspect of the job is acting as the official client representative (Bauherr) for the city and presenting project progress to political committees. Day-to-day tasks also involve maintaining and updating street databases, managing infrastructure preservation, and developing a GIS-based water body register to assess hydraulic performance, especially regarding heavy rainfall events. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Urban Water Management, coupled with practical experience applying German construction standards (VOB and HOAI).
