Job Summary

This Materials Tester role in Bochum, within the steel industry, involves critical quality assurance tasks primarily focused on turbine blades. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing, specifically using ultrasonic measurements to determine wall thicknesses and detect potential defects. Day-to-day duties include operating and adjusting ultrasonic equipment, performing visual inspections, meticulously documenting all test results on a PC, and ensuring overall quality standards are met according to specifications. Key requirements include a completed vocational or trade apprenticeship, preferably in a foundry environment, proven professional experience in an industrial production setting, and strong manual dexterity. This position operates within a 4-shift system and offers an attractive compensation package based on the steel collective bargaining agreement, including comprehensive allowances and an unlimited employment contract.
