Job Summary

This role seeks a skilled Technical Specialist for Molecular Biology to join the Center for Integrative Psychiatry (ZIP gGmbH) in Kiel, focusing on cutting-edge molecular research. The successful candidate will be responsible for essential laboratory administration, including purchasing and inventory management. A core function involves performing ultra-high molecular nucleic acid extraction using novel methodologies and preparing libraries specifically for Nanopore sequencing of human biological samples. Furthermore, you will contribute to the advancement and refinement of existing molecular genetic protocols. Candidates must possess fundamental knowledge of core molecular biology techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR, ligation, and gel electrophoresis. Prior experience with creating sequencing libraries (e.g., Illumina or PacBio) and high molecular DNA extraction is highly desirable.
