Job Summary
This leadership role involves managing the maintenance team responsible for the seamless technical operation and strategic development of two of Northern Germany's largest waste sorting facilities (handling paper, light packaging, and commercial waste) and an associated logistics site in Hamburg Billbrook. The successful candidate will lead a team of up to 12 internal electricians and mechanics, plus external personnel, organizing the resolution of faults and executing scheduled maintenance across three sites operating in a three-shift system. Key daily tasks include planning maintenance for complex plant technology, particularly focusing on conveyor belt systems, motor control, and switch cabinet construction, ensuring maximum plant availability, and managing shift schedules and maintenance budgets. Applicants must possess an advanced qualification in Electrical Engineering (Master Craftsman or State-certified Technician) and multi-year experience leading a small maintenance team, coupled with deep expertise in complex electrical systems and stringent safety regulations.
Required Skills
Education
Advanced training as an Industrial or Trade Master Craftsman in Electrical Engineering, or qualification as a State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
