Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Responsible Electrical Specialist for a wastewater treatment plant, focusing on maintaining the critical electrical infrastructure essential for public supply. Day-to-day tasks include performing modifications, expansions, maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical systems within the wastewater disposal facilities. A key responsibility is conducting recurring inspections of both portable and fixed electrical systems, as well as performing switching operations and maintenance on proprietary 20 kV systems. The specialist will also be responsible for connecting and commissioning emergency power systems and participating in an on-call service rotation. Candidates must have a completed qualification as an Industrial Electrician or Electronics Technician (Operational Technology) with further training as a Master Craftsman or Technician, coupled with experience in PLC programming. The position requires specific expertise in high-voltage switching and low-voltage network connections, or the willingness to obtain these qualifications quickly, along with a C1E driving license.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Industrial Electrician (Operational Technology) or Electronics Technician (Operational Technology) with further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician, or equivalent qualification.
