Job Summary

This Laboratory Technician role involves performing crucial material and component analysis for complex development projects within the automotive industry. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting microscopic 2D and 3D measurements of components, executing chemical and mechanical material analyses (such as SEM-EDX), and performing mechanical tensile and compression tests, alongside various hardness measurements. A key part of the job is analyzing measurement data using software-supported modules like Minitab. The ideal candidate holds a completed qualification as a Materials Tester, Physics Laboratory Assistant, Chemical Laboratory Assistant, or equivalent, and ideally possesses initial experience in microscopic measurement technology. Experience with software-supported laboratory management systems (e.g., SAP, LMS) is beneficial, as is knowledge of Lean Management or Six Sigma methodologies.
