Job Summary
As a Capital Market Expert in Securities Supervision, you will play a crucial role at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), contributing to a stable and integrated financial system. Your daily tasks will involve analyzing macroeconomic developments and financial market risks, developing concepts for risk identification and assessment, and conducting economic evaluations of internal data analyses. You will also contribute to the advancement of early warning systems and risk-oriented supervisory strategies, participate in crisis management concept development, and prepare expert analyses and decision-making documents for leadership. This role requires a strong background in economics or business administration with a quantitative focus, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, digital environment. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or University Diploma in Economics or Business Administration (with a quantitative focus/statistics) with a grade of at least "good", qualifying for higher civil service.
Experience
- Professional experience in capital market-specific developments and early risk detection (preferred)
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and coordinating internal alignment processes
- Experience in project work or project-like structures (ideally)
