Job Summary

This role is ideal for an ambitious Systems Engineer passionate about innovation in heating technology, specifically focusing on heat pumps. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading technical development projects from initial specification through to prototype testing and industrialization. You will be responsible for optimizing and qualifying heat pump systems, analyzing new technologies, and conducting laboratory tests. A key part of the role involves coordinating component selection with suppliers and partners, ensuring continuous product improvement, and maintaining thorough documentation. The successful candidate must hold a degree in Thermodynamics, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, possess several years of experience in R&D or application engineering for heat pumps, and demonstrate strong foundational knowledge in thermodynamics, heat exchangers, control technology, and hydraulics. Experience leading interdisciplinary projects is also required, alongside excellent proficiency in both German and English.
