Job Summary

This role is critical for driving the digital transformation of the Mettmann municipal administration, focusing on establishing and continuously improving a central Process Management System. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing standards for process modeling (using BPMN 2.0), introducing and managing process management software, and maintaining process maps in alignment with the KGSt process portal. Key responsibilities also include organizational development, leading change management initiatives, and guiding projects related to organizational structure and procedures. The position requires strong analytical skills to analyze and optimize complex business processes, effective consulting and communication abilities to advise various departments, and the capacity to moderate workshops and training sessions. This is a full-time, five-year fixed-term contract essential for modernizing administrative efficiency and performance.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor / FH-Diploma) in Business Informatics, Business Sciences, Administrative Informatics, Business Administration with an IT focus, or a comparable degree; OR successfully completed Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II)

Experience

  • Fundamental knowledge in process analysis, optimization, and modeling
  • Experience with digital process capture tools (e.g., BIC Process Design, Pic, PICTURE)
  • Professional experience in general administrative procedures (ideally)
  • Experience in planning and executing (IT) projects
