Job Summary

This role is for a Senior Developer or Development Expert focused on building IronCore, SAP’s next-generation open-source cloud infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes. The core responsibility involves developing IronCore’s network-fabric automation using Go, designing Kubernetes-native operators to unify multi-vendor physical network fabrics behind a single abstraction layer. Day-to-day tasks include building robust CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), operating and optimizing cloud services, and collaborating with distributed teams using Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in Go, deep knowledge of Linux systems, Kubernetes operators, and strong networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, BGP). This position offers the opportunity to contribute extensively to open-source projects, driving faster, more reliable provisioning and self-healing operations across data centers.
