Job Summary

This role is crucial for advancing the TRATON Group's eMobility roadmap by focusing on the validation and testing of DC/AC charging technology. The Validation Engineer will be responsible for the cross-functional planning and coordination of testing activities, including liaising with external contractors and aligning validation scopes across the TRATON brands (Scania, MAN, etc.). Key day-to-day tasks involve independently developing validation concepts for charging systems and their subcomponents, setting up and executing integration tests within the High Voltage (HV) electrical system, and managing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) environments. This includes software flashing, test case implementation, and robust error analysis and documentation according to internal processes. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, possesses knowledge of ISO 15118 and ISO 26262 standards, and is proficient in using standard CAN measurement and ECU-Test tools. This position offers flexible working models, including up to 80% remote work, and the chance to contribute to a major transformation within global R&D.

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Experience in charging technology according to ISO 15118
  • Experience in software testing according to ISO 26262
  • Professional experience with DC charging technology (preferred)
  • Professional experience in developing validation concepts for technical systems
