Job Summary

This permanent, full-time Data Engineer role is based in Hanau at Bruker EAS GmbH, a global leader in superconductor manufacturing for high-tech applications including MRI and fusion research. The core responsibility involves developing and maintaining robust data infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include designing, automating, and orchestrating complex ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow. The engineer will develop interfaces to various systems, primarily leveraging Python, and be responsible for the conception, maintenance, and optimization of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, including developing Stored Procedures using PL/pgSQL. Furthermore, the role requires ensuring data quality and consistency, performing database administration (backups, monitoring), and supporting the creation of BI dashboards in Qlik Sense and SAP Analytics Cloud. Candidates must possess a completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent, coupled with deep experience in SQL, Python, Apache Airflow, and Docker.
