Job Summary

This role involves managing and executing electrical and communication technology projects within municipal construction initiatives for the City of Gronau. The engineer will be responsible for technical project control, including monitoring schedules, costs, and quality assurance for electrical and communication systems across all city buildings. Key day-to-day tasks include user support, defining service specifications for external planning offices and contractors, and technically reviewing planning documents and tenders. You will also oversee commissioning, acceptance, handover, and warranty control, including work related to Building Unit Systems (BUS). Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering (or equivalent Master/Technician qualification) and demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to work independently and efficiently. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication Technology, or a completed vocational training with a Master or Technician certification in Electrical or Communication Technology

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and executing electrical installation and communication/information technology measures
  • Experience in organizing and conducting recurring regulatory inspections (PrüfVO NRW, DGUV)
  • Knowledge of VOB/B (German Construction Contract Procedures) and HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) is desirable
