Job Summary

This role involves critical quality control and material characterization within a production environment, focusing heavily on polymers and plastics. The Chemical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for executing incoming goods inspections of raw materials and performing production controls on compounds, utilizing methods such as OIT, MFR, and Density testing. Key duties include optimizing and developing testing methods, particularly in DSC, FTIR, and MFR, for evaluating PP recyclates, and generating factory test certificates (Werksprüfzeugnissen 3.1) according to ÖNORM EN 10204. The ideal candidate will assist with mechanical material characterization, manage test equipment maintenance coordination, and continuously update work instructions and testing matrices. Success requires a structured, quality-conscious approach, strong teamwork, and proficiency in English for international communication.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Specialist (Laborfachkraft), preferably specializing in materials or plastics

Experience

  • Professional experience in laboratory work, preferably focused on materials or plastics
  • Experience in planning and organizing monitoring audits
  • Experience in processing and handling extension requests for national approvals
