Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Student or Research Assistant to join the Institute for Laboratory Animal Science, a key service and research facility of the Medical Faculty and RWTH Aachen. The assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting research operations, focusing heavily on documentation and data management. Day-to-day tasks involve supporting data entry using the tick@lab animal management software, digitizing and filing essential documents, and ensuring all activities adhere strictly to the quality management system (DIN EN ISO 9001:2015) and legal requirements concerning animal welfare, including the 3R principle (Refine, Reduce, Replace). This position is ideal for students in Biology, Biotechnology, or Medicine who possess strong organizational skills, database experience, and excellent reliability. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-standard research while ensuring ethical and compliant laboratory animal care, working up to 19 hours per week.
