Job Summary
This critical role involves coordinating, developing, and ensuring the quality of the statewide protection concept within the Schleswig-Holstein State Office for Immigration and Refugees (LaZuF). The Protection Officer will conduct and evaluate risk analyses, systematize data, and produce regular comprehensive reports to derive necessary action and resource plans. Key responsibilities include developing protection measures, child protection concepts, and complaint mechanisms, as well as setting standards for handling violence and danger situations. The position requires strong expertise in protection concepts, violence prevention, and working with vulnerable groups, supported by a scientific university degree (Master's or equivalent) in relevant fields like Social Work, Sociology, or Public Administration. Success in this role demands practical experience in coordinating interdisciplinary networks, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring the continuous improvement of protection structures for asylum seekers and refugees.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree, Diplom (University), or equivalent in Social Work/Social Pedagogy, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, Administrative Sciences, Law, or Psychology; OR eligibility for career track 2, second entry level of the General Services technical direction
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position
- Experience in violence protection, complaint management, or coordination of protection structures
- Experience in psychosocial counseling
- Practical experience in coordinating interdisciplinary networks
- Experience in concept and standard development (e.g., protection measures or standards for handling violence/danger situations)
