Job Summary

This role is a vital Electrical Project Engineer position focused on modernizing critical infrastructure for the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV). The engineer will lead the project to upgrade and renew control technology, energy supply, and guidance systems at locks and weirs along the Neckar river, including the implementation of remote control centers in Untertürkheim and Neckarsteinach. Day-to-day tasks involve preliminary planning, drafting technical reports, preparing and managing public contracts (VOB/VgV), overseeing construction, and handling the interfaces between civil, steel, mechanical, and electrical engineering trades. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (FH Diploma) in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate fluent German language skills (C1 minimum). This full-time position is initially fixed-term until 2033, with the explicit goal of transitioning to permanent employment afterward, offering long-term career stability within the public sector.
