Job Summary

This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled IT Technician to join one of Europe's leading IT service providers, supporting a major automotive client (Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH) across locations in Zwickau and Chemnitz. The core responsibilities involve hands-on technical support for network and infrastructure systems. Day-to-day tasks include laying network cables, connecting them to server rooms and office spaces, and installing/removing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. The technician will also handle initial system setup and configuration according to instructions, and manage service requests via a ticketing system, ensuring thorough documentation. The ideal candidate holds a degree or certification in IT System Integration or IT Systems Electronics, possesses experience with network hardware and cabling, and is comfortable with shift work and weekend duties across the specified locations.
