Job Summary

This role involves specialized technical work on electric vehicle components, focusing heavily on high-voltage (HV) systems like batteries and e-motors, primarily within a test bench environment. The technician will be responsible for the electrical setup of benchmark vehicle engines (HEV, PHEV, BEV) on the engine test bench, including electrical work and CAN-Bus configuration. Key day-to-day tasks include designing, building, and installing power supply and test circuits for HV and CAN systems, performing Restbus-CAN measurements, and simulating engines on the test bench. The ideal candidate must possess qualifications in automotive electrics/electronics, electrical engineering, or mechatronics, coupled with professional experience in vehicle electrics/electronics and knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN). Strong analytical skills and proficiency in both German and English are essential for successful collaboration and documentation.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training plus further qualification as a Technician in Automotive Electrics/Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable; alternatively, a completed Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in vehicle electrics/electronics
  • Experience in the assembly of electric motors, inverters, or high-voltage systems (desirable)
